Welcome to Johnston Opals, we’re a Melbourne family
run business go on 5 generations. Established in 1901, we’ve become well known in the Opal Industry
for our knowledge, expertise and extensive product range of ethically sourced
gemstones from Australia’s miners. We take pride in the fact that we’re Australia’s largest opal retailer in both loose and set jewellery.

Celebrating over 100 years of continued
business, our beloved team members have decades worth of experience and
expertise behind them.

We have extensive experience in both the
mining and manufacturing process within the industry giving us the unique
ability to provide the best possible assurance in quality and price. 

 We have a long history and passion for
selling Natural South Sea Pearls which are all sustainably farmed and harvested
in Australia. We pride ourselves on our collection of Black Tahitian Saltwater Pearls and our more affordable range of freshwater Pearls.

We feel our wide range of stock best
encapsulates the natural beauty Australia has to offer, all of which is on
display at our centrally located showroom in Melbourne’s CBD.
